The Bedouin Tent's
The fully furnished elaborate Bedouin tent displaying traditions Bedouin
daily use and ornamental pieces, is open for visitors interested in
sitting, and relaxing and sipping a cup of Arabic coffee, while Maha
Saca explicates the life-ways of Palestinian Bedouins. Visitors will be
able to take photos in the tent dressed in traditional costumes
Gift Shop
All hand-made items, from dresses to jewelry to art pieces that are
produced at the Center, will be available for purchase. Ordering of
special items, with the visitor's own taste of colors, is also possible
and encouraged. All materials can be shipped overseas.
Central Display Panel
The Panel exhibits artifacts of daily use recreating the Palestinian
traditional life ways. The highlight of the exhibits is the Nol,
which is the traditional weaving machine. All pieces are labeled and
dated. Personalized explanatory tour could be arranged.
Photo Gallery
The Center produces its own photos gallery in the form of posters and
postcards. 160 different images capture the beauty of both the dresses
and the Place; both intertwined in sheer elegance. Images are also
produced on 3D wooden panels. All are available for purchase
The Center's Library
Visitors are offered the opportunity to review a reasonable collection of
books and references on the places and cultures of Palestine and the
region.
Lectures
The Center, and upon request, offers lectures for groups on the history,
culture and embroidery of Palestine. Pre-arrangements are required.
Photo shoots
Both men and women are able to dress up in one of the beautiful
traditional costumes and take photos. A human size frame is also
available for headshots.
The Palestinian Living Room
The "Majles" or Palestinian style living room is an elaborate space
decorated beautifully with Palestinian items and art pieces. The visitor
will enjoy sitting, drinking coffee and watching videos on the
archaeology, history, and religions of Palestine.
Dress Rental
The center provides a wide variety of traditional dresses for rent for any
of your occasions.
Traditional dresses upon request
The Center will create any of these beautiful costumes for its visitors.
These dresses will be hand made by Palestinian w o m e n especially for
you.
Palestinian Traditional Costumes and Jewelry Exhibition
A large display of original traditions dresses dating to the early 1900's,
authentic headdress as well as old jewelry items. Dresses, jackets,
shawls, accessories, wall hangings, purses and embroidered cushions,
which are reproduced at the Center, are available for purchase.
